For the week of the conference (March 29 - April 5, 2009), we
will be cancelling your normal classes. For each unit you are
enrolled in, you must attend one hour of the conference (see
below for more details).
- Each Student taking classes at EBC for credit is required
to attend the Global Ministry Conference.
- Conference attendance is based upon how many units each student
is taking. (For example: if you are taking 9 units this semester,
then you must attend 9 hours of the conference.)
- Your Attendance
Sheet must be completed and turned in by April
8, 2009.
If you do not complete the amount of hours that you are required
to attend, you will need to complete an assignment for each
hour you miss in order to fulfill your Gospel Conference Requirement.
We will be posting the audio from the conference
here. If you fail to attend the required
number of hours, you will need to listen to the appropriate number
of hours from the conference, and write a two page double-spaced
summary for each seminar or general session that you need to
make up. These summaries should briefly describe the content
of the session and how that content should affect your life and
ministry. The summary papers must be submitted to the Dean of
Students. The conference audio will be available
here.
If you fail to attend the required number of
hours, you will have a “hold” placed on your account until these
summary papers are submitted. This means that you will not
be able to view your grades or register for classes until the
hold is removed.
If you have any questions about this process,
please contact the Dean
of Students.
If for
any reason you will be unable to attend the conference (note:
this is different than not wanting to attend the conference),
you must make an appeal to the Dean of Students at least one
week before the conference begins. If the appeal is not received
at least one week prior to the beginning of the conference
or if your appeal is denied, you will be required to fulfill
the above requirements. All other absences will be subject
to the consequences for non-attendance above. Appeal forms
are available in the EBC office.
If you have any questions
about this process, please contact the Dean
of Students. |
