Academic Programs

In the following video, our Academic Dean, Joshua Walker, explains what makes our curriculum unique:

Programs of Study

Eternity has designed programs of study that fit anyone’s schedule, anyone’s location, and anyone’s plans. Your situation is unique and we are committed to equipping you for the mission God has called you to.

All of Eternity’s academic programs can be completed fully online or on one of our two campuses (Simi Valley, CA and Boise ID) or a combination of online and on campus. Wherever you are and whatever your schedule, there’s a program for you.

What Eternity’s Programs are All About

Each of the programs are shaped around the Two Greatest Commandments and the Great Commission and therefore have three main components which reflect what God’s mission is for His people:

  1. Grow in love for God by understanding His story in the Bible
  2. Grow in love for people by understanding their stories (i.e. how they think, where they’ve come from, what their needs and desires are, etc.)
  3. Make disciples by bringing the story of God into the stories of people

The main difference in each program is how long it takes and the depth in each of these three areas, but every program incorporates some degree of all three.

Overview

Eternity has three main lengths of programs:

1.  1 Year Certificate Programs – These programs are each designed to give you an introductory level knowledge of the Bible and specific equipping in a particular area. If you only have one year or are looking for a good place to start, then this is it.

2.  2 Year Certificate and Associate Programs – These two programs offer in addition to the introductory Bible knowledge in the 1-year programs, either very in-depth Bible knowledge or an understanding of the Old Testament and of the world around us. If you have a little more time and are looking for more depth than the 1 Year programs, then these programs are for you.

3.  4 Year Bachelor of Biblical Study Program – This program offers everything from both 2 Year programs plus a deeper understanding of historical theology and a capstone project to integrate it all into life. If you have four years to be equipped to deeply integrate the gospel into all of life or are preparing for a career in vocational ministry, then this program is for you.

Note that Eternity has designed all of our programs to connect with one another, so if you start with a 1 Year program or 2 Year program you can transfer seamlessly to longer program.

If you have any questions about these programs, please contact us.

Auditing / Personal Enrichment

Classes may be audited (i.e., taken for personal enrichment) by both non-degree and degree students. Auditing students are not required to take examinations, quizzes, or complete class projects.  Auditing students may or may not participate in class discussions at the discretion of the instructor.  First priority for registration will be given to students taking a class for credit, and spaces for auditing students will be based upon availability.  Not all courses are available for audit.
